Another great summer!

Summers on odd numbered years are always so memorable for us.  This summer was no exception.

Why odd numbered years?  These are the years when our ministry holds our staff conference in Colorado.  To save on travel costs, we combine these trips to Colorado with support raising trips to South Dakota, Troy’s home state.

Why are these summers so memorable?  Raising support requires that we trust God in ways that aren’t natural or easy for us.  When we see God come through, as He always does, our faith grows by leaps and bounds.  And it doesn’t hurt that we get to experience all of this with friends and family in some of the most scenic parts of the country.

This summer, after driving 6,000 miles through 11 states in our minivan, we had over 100 visits with people about our ministry!  These visits allowed us to challenge others to consider how, by partnering with us, they might be a blessing to thousands of missionaries reaching the lost all around the world.  We saw God raise up many new partners for our ministry, and we feel so thankful and humbled for so many who entrust us on an ongoing basis with their earthly treasure for the sake of the Gospel.

Our staff conference in July was a great time of refreshment for us.  We heard from many great speakers, connected with and fellowshipped with many of our colaborers, and enjoyed the Rocky Mountains with our teammates … on horseback!  We also had a seminar to help a few hundred of our fellow staff get up to speed with all the new features in our software.

Now we’re back in Orlando.  School starts next week, and we’re ready to see what God has next for us as we get back into our ministry.  Would you please pray for us?  Please pray for:
  • our walk with the Lord to grow and deepen.
  • Tammy’s health concerns related to her heart condition and energy levels.
  • Tammy as she resumes her neighborhood kids’ Bible study.
  • Troy as he helps The Navigators of South Africa adopt our software to help their missionaries.
